Child Club

Nijera Shikhi established a child club from January 2007 at Panchpota village of Kalaroa.  The aim of this is to acquire additional knowledge about themselves and the rest of the world, a lack in the rural areas.

Nijera Shikhi provided the club with
1. Books of eminent people, travelling, science fiction, current affairs
2. Daily newspapers (Dainik Prothom Alo)
3. Monthly Magazines (Porua, Kishoree Kotha)
4. Games such as Carom, Ludo
5. A television.

The child club is organised by seven members of the local community. About 100 local children love being members of this club.

The club was opened in February 2007.
